We look forward to welcoming you to our Bed and Breakfast in Cormack, Newfoundland. Please take a moment to read the important policies that follow regarding your reservation with us.
B&B RESERVATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Upper Humber Settlement observes the following terms and conditions for reservation of accommodation and services. These conditions are binding for both parties from the moment the guest makes a reservation either online or via telephone/email.
Reservations

Check-in: 3pm | Check-out: 11am

We will accommodate earlier/later check-ins if you inform us prior to your stay. Self check-in and check out to be described during the booking progress.

Room Rates are per night based on double occupancy. A15% Sales Tax will be added to the room rate.

Extended stays and corporate discounts may be available based on dates of stay. Please contact the us directly at (709)215-4166.
Cancellation Policy
If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled or modified later within 7 days or in case of no-show, 100 percent of the first night will be charged.
*COVID19 Update - If cancellation is made due to travel restrictions as a direct result Covid19 within 7 days of reservation, no fee will be charged

Deposit Policy
The guest will be charged a prepayment of the first night to confirm booking.
Due to the limited amount of rooms at the Upper Humber Settlement, any cancellations affects us significantly. Consequently, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. Smoking
The Upper Humber Settlement property is a smoke-free environment, smoking is ONLY permitted outside near the parking area or on the private balcony of the King Suite. Please use the ash trays provided. Smoking is prohibited on all porches, with the exception of the King Suite Balcony. Please be considerate of other guests by refraining to smoke in any other locations on the property. There is a $100 charge for smoking in the guestrooms. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.
Visitors
Guestrooms at The Upper Humber Settlement are for registered guests only. This policy is a courtesy to the other guests and to the operators who reside on the premise. Guest’s visitors are welcome in the common rooms and in the gardens with prior approval from the operators. Guestrooms comfortably accommodate 2 people, unless otherwise stated.
*COVID19 Update - Guests are prohibited while the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Guidelines reflect a Level 2 of the Pandemic. By implementing a no visitor policy we can help limit any potential spread of the Covid19 virus. By limiting visitors we can ensure that our space will comfortably allow our guests to social distance in common areas and around the property.
Pets
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets at The Upper Humber Settlement. We do have a friendly Labrador Retriever living on the premises, Benelli. She is confined to the owner’s quarters and the garden space. Service dogs are permitted, please let us know ahead of time if your service dog will be staying with you.
Accessibility
Three of our guestrooms are located on the main floor, however, guest must use stairs to enter the Bed and Breakfast. In addition the King Suite is located in the loft and is only accessible using a large staircase. Unfortunately, we were unable to provide accessibility features at our Bed and Breakfast accommodations at this time. We are very familiar with the other lodging facilities in the area and would be happy to assist you with finding suitable accommodations for your visit.
Damage
We want our guests to enjoy their stay and experience packages, but should there be excessive damage to the property or its contents, you will be notified of additional charges that will be charged to your credit card on file. This includes a $100 charge for smoking in the guestrooms.

Reservations

Booking a spot on our experiences can be done online here or via phone or email.

Most experiences require 24-48 hours notice. Please book in advance.

All experiences are paid in full at the time of booking to secure your spot.
Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, you will be refunded your expereince costs.

If cancelled or modified later within 7 days or in case of no-show, the expereince costs are non-refundable.

At the Upper Humber Settlement we respect your privacy. We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal identifiable information.
When users elect to make online reservations users are required to supply certain personal information. This information is used to verify your identity and secure your booking. We will not disclose, share, sell or divulge your personal information, such as address, email, and telephone numbers to third parties, unless we have informed you, been authorized by you or are required to do so by law. We will maintain this information in accordance with our strict confidentiality standards.
